However HEIs lack in commitment towards preparing novice postgraduate students in academic writing, research writing is a requirement for successful graduation of students at the postgraduate level. In an effort to contributing to solving this problem, a research is currently conducted and this paper reports a part of the research project by highlighting the constituent characteristics of academic research writing that essentially need to be considered while training and preparing novice researchers (NRs) to become members of the academic research community. The constituent characteristics were identified through an extensive structured literature review. In particular, a system where poor service delivery, negligence, discriminatory practices are rampant. Hence, the present study examined the influence of ethical code of conduct and whistle blowing activities on job satisfaction among health care workers. The study employed a survey design. Two hundred and five (205) participants were sampled from the lower level and upper management staff of University College Hospital, Ibadan, Nigeria using a multi-stage sampling technique. Seven units were selected using purposive sampling technique. The result shows significant main effect of the ethical code of conduct (F (1,200) = 11.97, p&lt;.01) and whistle blowing activity (F (1,200) = 36.17, p&lt;.01) on job satisfaction. Further, there was significant interaction between perceived ethical code of conduct and whistle blowing on job satisfaction (F= (1,200) = 7.48, p &lt;.01). It was concluded that whistle blowing activities and strong ethical code of conduct leads to health workers job satisfaction. However, whistle blowing may affect the interrelation between employees, there is need for the hospital management to provide a formal process to manage the whistle blowing activities. Maslach burnout inventory (MBI) and Pareek’s organizational role stress (ORS) scale were used to measure the levels of burnout and role stress. Correlation and multiple regression analysis were conducted to analyze the results.</p> <p><strong>Results:</strong>&nbsp;The results of the study indicate that organizational role stress is highly correlated with job burnout. Doctors have shown low level of role stress and burnout. The study focused on one-eighth-grade classroom at Minaret Model Secondary School, Karachi. The English language teacher of this class has been consistently using Individualized Reading Program beginning with the school year 2004-2005.&nbsp; The study was conducted during a period of three months from May to July 2005 and involves sixteen eighth grade students and two English language teachers of the school.&nbsp; The small sample size was due to the time constraints and the small number of students who were using the Individualized reading program in the school.</p> <p>The study fully supports the literature regarding the effectiveness of Individualized Reading Program in developing positive attitude and motivation to read, among students (in local context). We find ourselves in a better position to use Individualized reading program not only in Minaret Model Secondary School but to refer the results and finding to other schools and train their teachers to use the program more effectively and to find the increased level of motivation among students to read.</p> 2019-02-14T04:10:05-06:00 ##submission.copyrightStatement##
